MHS 11/3/17 Staff Update

The Mustang Football Team won the Level 2 Playoff Game in wintry conditions Friday to advance to the State Quarterfinal Football Game at home Friday at 7pm v. Green Bay Southwest.  Mr. Hundt orchestrated the Winter Sports Meeting Monday evening.  We were excited to welcome River Heights students and staff on Halloween so they could watch a movie.  MHS DECA students collected over 1100 pounds of food on Halloween and donated it all to Stepping Stones to help the needy.  Several MHS Staff had fun dressing up for Halloween including one who looked like a knight from the middle ages.  We held the first of two parent teacher conference days on Thursday with many parents and students checking in with staff after the first progress report.  We were pretty busy most of the evening across the building working with families.  Thank you to Matt Riley and Kimberly Musser for presenting to the staff their approach to teaching reading to a diverse class of readers with a wide-range of reading levels.  This was supported by district reading specialist Tera Ellison who will also be providing a cheat-sheet for staff to reference when differentiating in this way for students.
