The Mustang Football Team won the BRC Championship Friday evening at Chippewa Falls gaining the number 1 seed starting playoff competition Friday night at Home. The Mustang Band had an extremely successful fundraiser [I heard 60 mattresses sold which is a wow] as they continue to prepare for their spring break trip to Florida and the Bahamas where they will perform at Universal Studios and on the cruise ship. The Tennis Team advanced 2 to state where they won once and then were eliminated. Wendy Hastings was celebrated at state for earning her 300th win which is in the top 5 in state history. Give a shout out to Wendy if you get a chance for this huge accomplishment! She led the Girls Tennis Team to their best season in decades. HOSA students conducted a blood drive Tuesday and they were busy most of the time. Students and staff were amazingly generous when being asked to save lives. The advanced theater class advanced to sectional competition. Great job Mr. Buhr and I even saw him driving the bus. We developed an alternate PD plan for Thursday because of a last second change. MHS staff provided input about their Educational Tech needs after which Professional Development was created based on these needs in a Hybrid Ed Camp style approach. We look forward to playoff sports for all of the following: Soccer, Volleyball, Football and Cross Country all competing within the next few days. A state qualifying event will be held this weekend Saturday at noon at MHS where many of our Cross Country athletes will attempt to qualify to state at the Sectional being held on our home course. I’ll be at Volleyball, Football and Cross Country so don’t be a stranger and stop out if you are so inclined. Volleyball is at Memorial tonight at 7 with the other 2 being home and Soccer is a bit of a hike today to the LaCrosse area. Also a reminder for the Jazz Band Concert Tuesday Night at the Mabel — 2 tickets free for staff at the door if you’re interested.
