Several MHS Seniors reported that Friday 5/12/17 would be 9 days until graduation which is Saturday 5/27/17. Many MHS parents have been working long hours to prepare for the Senior Lock In Graduation Party with a final walk through scheduled for next Wednesday. We held a sports recognition assembly Thursday to honor all conference and all state performers throughout the year. Coach La Buda was also honored with a standing ovation as he is set for his last day teaching on 5/12/17. Tuesday marked one of the busiest days of the year after school with Baseball, Soccer, Tennis, and Golf all home with many of our student athletes competing at a high level. We interviewed Counselors all day on Wednesday to replace Mr Fern. We should have an offer out to a candidate by Friday evening. Friday all day World Language students will be competing in their World Cup event where all of the language classes play soccer while using their language skills throughout the event. I look forward to the FFA banquet on Friday evening and Spring Swing on Saturday with the Jazz Band where I will be judging the Dance Competition which should be interesting since I dance as well as I play basketball:)
I tried to get around to everyone with a gift for Teacher Appreciation Week but I ended up about 3 staff members short. Sorry about that. I’ll be around first things Monday to those I missed.
