Grease opened last friday running the whole weekend with a huge cast led by Mr Buhr. The performance recognized many long nights and months of preparation by the cast and crew. Congratulations to Erica Kinnard, Mackenzie Brooks, Elli Kerg, and SaLeya Yukel for their success at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. Out of 367 other school store entries from across the Nation, SaLeya and Elli received TOP 20 RECOGNITION! SaLeya and Elli have also been recognized at the National Level earning the Emerging Leader Honor Award for their service activities, GPA, and participation in DECA. Several staff members and I attended the funeral of one of our students over the weekend which is a difficult thing but important in the healing process. Monday Night we honored our Seniors at their annual awards night where over $123,000 in scholarships and awards were handed out to the Class of 2017. We honored the GEAC award winners before the senior awards which highlighted DPI recognition for a variety of diverse activities and learning opportunities achieved by this group. The baseball team lost to Hudson Tuesday as did the girl’s soccer team to memorial. The new track was packed until late in the evening on Tuesday. The following students competed in the State Career Development Events for the FFA in Madison last Friday: Livestock Evaluation Team-Placed 4th as a Team! Dani Zukowski, Andrew Zukowski, Rachel Gray, and Ben Styer who also WON STATE AS AN INDIVIDUAL!!! The students in the horticulture class have been busy since January preparing for the annual MHS Greenhouse Plant Sale. They would greatly appreciate your support. We will be open for sales starting on May 15th from 3:15 to 4:30 PM with sales continuing the rest of the week until all plants are sold.

End of Year SLO and self scoring should be completed submitted by May 15th, or upon the completion and review of end of year assessment measures being used to measure your identified SLO.
Summative Evaluation and Conferencing (for staff on year three of the evaluation cycle) is to occur prior to end of year checkout
Acknowledgement of all submitted components is to occur prior to end of year checkout.
SDMA Self-Directed Professional Development Requirement.
All teachers/educational specialists are required to compleate 7.5 hours of self directed professional development during the 2016-2017 school year. 0 Points – Cycle A and B:
50 Points – Cycle C-1 Level 1 through Cycle C-3 Level 9
100 Points – Cycle D1 Level 1 and beyond.
